Must love ruffles....

AnthropoloChic.
That's what i call my style......
when i coined the phrase about a year ago.
Don't worry...

you are free to use it also....
it's not like i had it licensed or copyrighted...
nope...

it's up for grabs for you ....
So far....
Anthropologie has not called me with a conflict of interest...
nope...
they have not.
I'm nervous though...
because they might be angry with me when they read this.
Shall i say it again...
just to make sure you all heard it...
AnthropoloChic
.

Oops...

i hear the phone ringing in the background..

so hold on a minute.

tick

tock

tick

tock

tick

tock.

I'm back....

so glad you are still here.

It was not Anthro headquarters..

whew...

it was the hubby though.

Finally....

and he is having a great time in Hong Kong...

so glad he took a minute to check in.

Anyhoo...

he told me i could do a little shoe shopping...

{at least that's how i heard it....i'm pretty sure he didn't say glue..}

as long as i didn't spend too much money.

Well.....

dang...

because i just spent some cash on the cleaning ladies...

so that means i don't have a whole heck of a lot left....

for shoes....that is.

Don't you fret ...

at least i didn't...

because i found some pretty fabulous.....

oh so fabulous..

shoes...

t-straps mind you.....

ruffly t-straps...

and i couldn't not let you know all about them.

that would be so rude...

So....

you probably want to know where i might have gotten these...

maybe...

maybe not.

I know a few of you made some resolutions that you wanted to start adding

a bit more femininity to your wardrobe...

and i just wanted to add that you don't have to wear them with tights......

i mean...

if you lived here.....

in the awesome midwest...

it's a balmy 10 degrees......

on a good day.

I would wear these with some wide leg jeans......

or even cuff your normal jeans with these...

possibly a skirt...

then wear them with some knee highs.

I'm just giving you some idea's...

or..

maybe you want me to tell you about the boot camp class i went to last night......

then ordered pizza..

came home with the children and watched biggest loser.

Or....

possibly.....

i could tell you about the house i went to look at today...

a far cry from my beloved farm...

but no.. i won't...

not today.

why?....

because i want you to...

Run.....

don't walk....

Did you hear me girls....

run.....

because i just know they won't last long...

but i found these..oh...so...fabulous shoes..

anthropoloChic

style shoes.. at T.J. Maxx.

and the best part is...

they were only $25.

so i grabbed two pairs...

which means i saved money.

Don't you just love when you save that type of money....

Bryan will be so proud!

xo

{tights from Gap $10.50}

Wow...looks like I'm the first commenter. :) The shoes are fabulous. I just love TJMAXX....lots of bang...little buck. GREAT FIND. I have 3 TJ's within a 10 mile radius. Let's just say it's a wonderful, yet scary thing. **wink*

WE have the exact same logic when it come to saving money!! Who knew there were TWO of us amazingly smarty and thrifty types? Our husbands must appreciate us pointing out how we are SAVING them money... I know I would! Way to go. Heh, heh.

Kacey said...

Hmm...cute! Wonder if I could justify the purchase if I have a similar pair w/ a higher heel in black? Yes - yes I can! The heel height is the key.

(Thanks for helping me figure that out!)

P.S. Boot camp negates the pizza, so you're good. At least, that's the logic my girlfriends and I used tonight when we had an ice cream cone after a long walk around the neighborhood this afternoon! :-)

oh dang girl..those are fabulous...why do you torture those of us that live 3 hours away from any kind of TJMaxx?!?! or am i the only one that lives in the middle of nowhere??
i tried to explain to my hubby that i was saving him money by wanting the $4000.oo leather couch instead of the $6000.00 one that i had first picked out...very thirfty of me i thought...needless to say all that i got was the eye ball roll... ;0)

...Oh Kasey! I totally seen these shoes at TJ's! But it was like a year ago, did you see them recently? I tries them on too, and contemplated on getting them....but didn't :(

I'm all about saving $$$ too this year, my hubby and I are headed to Germany for a couple weeks next fall. I'll be doing the same, hiding my Anthro card and searching for some Anthro knock-offs, just like yourself!
Thanks for all the great tips.

I am a freak for Anthro...a whore, actually...but I won't say it out loud. It's a sickness, because when you think about it, $168 for a dad-gum sweater is freakin' ridiculous...but no one on the planet (b/c we do live on Planet AnthropoloCHIC, right?) makes stuff the way they do. They just KNOW
WHAT
THEY'RE
DOING...

Unless, of course, we get lucky and stumble across fabulousness at TJ's...b/c that does happen every once in awhile..or so I've heard.

You are charming :)

Old Navy has a very similar pair right now, much higher heels though! Very cute, I didn't bring them home, even though they were on sale so like $15 each... feel free to smack me! I've been regretting it ever since!

Fantastic shoes, super cute and just your style. I would have bought 2 pairs also. My husband wouldn't get the logic in that they were cheaper because they were at TJs. He would think there are 2 new pairs to fit into the closet, lol. Love the tights with them.

I am not a real "girly girl" dresser. I am usually a blue jean, sweater, leather messenger bag draped across my body kind of girl. But, I do love these shoes. They are great. And, I love TJ Maxx, but I have to drive 45 minutes to get there and in this weather, it's just not going to happen. So...I figure by the time I could get there, all of those lovely shoes will be gone. I will just admire your photos of them.
