my other home.....

o.k., so i don't really have another home, but if i did, this is what it would look like.

I have fallen deeply, for this palette. This is designer Shannon Bowers home in Dallas, Texas and is done in Swedish creams and greys, and you can see her feature in Veranda magazine.

This nursery actually got me thinking i need another baby. The taste is so simple, yet defined.

oh, alright, i only thought for a teeeeny tiiiiny second.. about another baby.

The sofa and armchair above is the look i am striving for. I even have my eye on something very similar.....just waiting for the tax man to arrive with my cold hard cashola. The best part is, that it's slip covered. I think people cringe when they hear about going with a white or cream sofa and children. I have children. I have 3 children. The keyword is.... slip covered. It's doable, i promise.

That is why i can do white painted furniture, because if one of the kids spills or draws on a table, it is so easily re-painted....{what am i talking about, they don't even have crayons or markers....and now that i think about it......they don't drink...so I guess i'm safe}.

I would love to have a clock like the one above. Actually...I would love to have the whole room. Do you think "rooms to go" has a set like this?

Thanks for listening to me swoon all over this post, so glad i have a place to vent!

OH!!! And.......I only have 10 more posts till the big 200th post party. This is going to be HUGE!

xoxo

Yeah, I'm in on the swoon-fest. Major swoon-o-rama happenin' here. I get Veranda, too, and their rooms are always so unbelievably beautiful. I want my world to look like a page from Veranda! :)
By the way, go for it Kasey! Have another kiddo! Getting to do another nursery will just be the icing on the cake! I will if you will! Now to tell our hubbies... Yeah...

Nice post, girlie!

Love those photos! That is exactly how I am planning on decorating my new home, when I get it, that is;) I am seriously nervous about having such a light colored sofa with my three little messes but no other will do. I already have mine all picked out. It is from Shabby Chic with gorgeous rolled arms and a pristine white slipcover. *Le sigh* You'll have to let me know how it goes:)

I'm pouting that I didn't win a CD, but I guess I'll still comment ;-)
I was going to ask you how you got those pictures of my house until you had to go and tell us whose house it really is...spoil sport.
Just kidding. It really is stunning! I love everything... but the simplicity of the nursery and that lovely swedish clock really call to me.
Thanks for sharing!

aww, so peaceful and serene. I have the rug in the baby's room in my sons room... but I'm afraid the pallete isn't as seren as that... I'm considering repainting though...I'll have to study the picture more.

What a beautiful posting - and I'm so with you - i would LOVE all-white furniture - and am nervous with the dog on the furniture as well as kiddos...but you're so right. With the right slip-covers it is so easy.

I might have to think about the 'no pens, crayons, drinking' rule in my house. It would look sparkly white all the time! :)

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for the sweet CD giveaway!! Can't wait to get it!
