Where in the world is Lola B's??

Have you been wondering where Lola B's Boutique has been? No post in almost a week?

Yes, I do, sometimes actually work! I left Wednesday at 4 p.m. and arrived in Columbus, Ohio and arrived at 1 a.m. Thursday morning only to wake up at 7 to get to Ohio Village to set up for The Country Living fair.

The best part is THE RAIN!!!

Now of course, here at Lola B's, we thought we could conserve a bit of cash and just USE OUR OWN TENT! Great right?

Ugghh, not when it's NOT water proof! Yes, the tent is Water resistant, but not water proof!

We had at least $2000. in paper products that had water damage, but we pulled through and raised the bar.

We had a line of customers ALL day long, and the BEST part was..............

we were next to our shop buddies, The Farm Chicks, and Mcmaster & Storm gals.

More pics tomorrow.......................

Kasey!! I almost signed up to be a vendor and I didn't at the last minute...MUST know all about it whenever you're recouperated!! Exactly what happened with the paper goods, how bad was the damage, could you salvage any of it, were you beat at the end of each day from being on your feet, what did you learn that you will change next year, what do you wish you would have done, what was a huge success, what was a bust, etc...WE'VE GOT QUESTIONS! YOU'VE GOT ANSWERS!! Hey! Maybe I should interview you for MY blog! I know...not after you've had plenty of feet-up time! :)
Welcome home!

sounds like you like you lived my weekend only in ohio. rained all weekend in chicago. luckily no paper goods under my tent. same leaks but my sisters saved the day making home depot runs. tarps, tarps, and more tarps. some vendors didn't even come back out for day 2. i paid for electricity and like most didn't get it until 9 pm sunday night a little too late.
better luck next time, huh.

your setup looks lovely though.

Oh Kasey! Your displays are beautiful!! I so wish we could have a "Vendor Night" where we could wander around and see each other's creations and passions. I feel like I missed everything. Next year the only reason I would not set up is so that I could shop glorious collections such as yours and your neighbors McMaster & Storm and The Farm Chicks. Sorry I missed the dinner!! Maybe we should coordinate a Shop Owner luncheon? :-)
