A girly girl....

So....

this weekend will be interesting...

i have my photographer friend traci meeting

up with us to do some photo's of the kids..

and maybe...

just maybe....

some of the family.

{i hope she can photoshop this huge zit off my forehead}

Grrrrrrr.

Let me tell you right now that the husband...

does

not

like

being

told

what

to

wear.

Nope....he does not.

So, when i casually mentioned that for the sweet valentines shot

that i have in my crazy messed up artistic mind of mine.....

has to do with being in the snow....

near {this} barn.....

while wearing a certain outfit....

he pretty much told me....

you can"t tell me what to wear!

Ahem.....

so i hung up on him.

yup....i did.....

sheesh....

men are so difficult when it comes to

what we

"have in mind"

and.....

did i just not spend 8 whole days by myself..

while he roamed the city of hong kong?

Okay...

i feel a bit better now that i vented.

Anyhoo....i popped into that little place called

Anthro today...just to peek around...

and found that darling feather clip that i stuck

in my hair.

I think though....that i'll stick it in lola's hair for

the shoot....

if she let's me get her hair cut tomorrow...

and if she will take off the kimono that

bryan brought back for her from china.

yup.....

her teacher had to call me and ask if everything

was ok.......

cuz lola's had on that kimono dress all week....

yes...

all week long.

i lied and said our washer was broken...

seriously.....

like i can help it that she wears the same thing all week.

{maybe i'll take a photo for you....only if you beg me though}

Oh...and in case any of you are wondering how this week has been going...

you know...

with my workouts and all....

i'm happy to report that i'm down a quarter of a pound.

happy dance!

xo

p.s. winner of the cupcakes are:Raining pearls, Amy {lemon cottage}, and The little red shop.

and the sponsor giveaway is: Rebekah {world of rays}

I want to twirl in that divine ruffle skirt underneath that glorious ceiling! Oh how I LOVE Valentine's Day!

Can't wait to see the photos! And yeah...after 8 days alone with 3 kids...you should be able to pick out everything - down do the boxers. Or briefs. Whatever. And to Julie and Amy - I know you are going to read this...so remember your favorite girl when you get those cupcakes! (meaning me) I do live close to both of you afterall. I'm JEALOUS! ~mary~

Yea, I have a husband who doesn't like to be told what to wear either. But mine also asks what I think of things (in clothes) and then does not take my advice or asks me 10 more times.
Congrats on the weight loss - any loss is a great loss (when it comes to weight).

I'm lucky that mine let's me pick out what he wears. However, he HATES family pictures! He really does not like to get them done - so that's our battle - I usually win though :)

Glad he's home safe...men can be like that I guess..my guy, he couldn't care less, he'll wear anything I ask him to wear. Good luck with the photo shoot, sound very pretty! Come say hi :D

I feel your pain, mine refuses to wear what I pick out for him...I gave up years ago.
Can't wait to see your photos!! Love that feather clip!!

Cupcakes! Oh my... I can't believe it. YES! And would you believe--- I JUST posted about an hour ago about how I cannot cut a stupid birthday cake. I can't... it's totally beyond me. I've banned cakes from the house and we are strictly a cupcake home now.

Can't wait to see the pictures of your family.

Thanks!

He will not let me tell him what to wear, but he will ask me over and over if what he has on looks okay...

Hooray for you and your 1/4 lb. weigh loss. Way to go!! ;-)

Good luck on the whole photo-outfit-incooperative-husband thing. And I'm right there with ya on the kids wanting to wear the same thing everyday for a week. Sigh. They're kids after all.

Feel your pain ~ I've given up on family photos. I just hope to get a few shots of my family now and then and call it good.

Hey, when you find something you like, run with it! If they'd let me, I'd wear my jammers to school everyday. :)

ps Hi Mary! Thank you for letting me know about my sweet win! If you want a bite of cupcake you'll have to trek on out to Washington State...I'm Midwestern by parentage...but Northwestern by birth. I think my dad's cousin Kenny still lives in your town...but I don't know if he has any cupcakes. : )

You made me laugh out loud with this post. I had to read every line. I can remember how difficult family photos were (maybe because I have three sons). Hope your photoshoot goes well. Steph

Hi Kasey!
I just had to pop over and say "thank you!"
Thank you for the wonderful time of giggles and ooooohing and aaaawing that my sister and I did while we were enjoying your blog together 2600 miles apart!
Melly lives in Alabama...
I live in Seattle...well Bainbridge Island!
Both with our laptops in laps...we scrolled down from post to post...from outfit to outfit...from girlfriend parties...through holidays!
We adore your children!
Love you little girl boots!
Laughed our heads off at your post on the hard bodies at the gym.
Melly kept saying how REAL you are! She kept talking on and on about the slipcovers you were buying at IKEA and how she needed to contact you to see how you liked them because she was going to get some for their beach house. I finally got to the IKEA cart and was like whoooooa! She is buying some slipcovers!
So...thank you Kasey!
We had such a fascinating time...
and you didn't even know you were with us!

I haven't popped into Anthro in SO long because I know it will be seriously dangerous for my wallet. No self control in that place, WHATSOEVER.

Love your feather clip and hope the pictures go well! Can't wait to see how everyone cooperates and coordinates! :)

and I so would have hung-up on my hubby too ... especially if he gave me attitude after I was SOLO with the kid, *stuck* at home. (she said as her husband is off frolicking with his bff fly fishing this weekend)

LOVE the new header - and that you got those shoes in there!!

A little coaxing & some sweet, smoothe talk should do the trick. ;) Surely he can't say no then. Maybe cook him his favorite meal?

Yes...that seems similar to when I ask someone in this house to wear something certain for pictures...our conversations are pretty similar...you all will look beautiful in your photos! Hopefully we can have a sneak peak or see that beautiful Lola in her kimono, right?

I don't know why but sometimes men get offended when we try to tell them what to wear but you know with your sense of style what will look good and the over all look you're going for on the pictures. You just needed to vent. Love your hair accessory also.
