My mom made me do it......

We were perusing yard sales last friday...

when we came across this chair at our neighbors house.

I almost passed right by it...

orange and green stripes are just not in my color palate.

Then Out of the blue......

Fin said to me...

mom...you could use that chair for your photo shoots.

What a handsome little guy you have there....so funny, too. So.....did you get it? You know you could always recover it. Reupholstered furniture with old character is the best.

Let me get my hands on that chair...I'm thinking paint the wood antique white and slipcover it in burlap. What da ya think? Of course, when you have a boy as cute as Fin to pose by it... you don't really need anything more!

Isn't it great when your child helps you find treasures for a photo shoot?! I guess, once in awhile, they do listen to us;) What a cutie Fin is!

Mary said...

I have a little blonde haired blued eyed niece that would be a perfect match for that little Fin. So stinkin' cute!

And the chair...I think you need to become crafty and try your hand at upholstery. How hard could it be, right??

See you this weekend I'm sure...

oh, flashbacks! I had chairs in that 'lovely' fabric, back in the 70's or was it the 80's? ...not with all that great wood or I'd still have them and without the stipes!

your son is just too cute!
