Noteworthy news from Lola B's

Noteworthy news from Lola B's.
My friends Teri and Serena from The Farm Chicks now have a blog up and going, so when you get a chance, head over and say "hello", I'm sure they would love to have you visit!

Also, if you have not heard, this is was a punch for me: Nancy Soriano who is Senior Editor at my FAVORITE magazine, stepped down a few weeks ago to pursue other interests. I currently don't know who is taking the position, but I will be sad to see her go, though knowing that she has been with the magazine for so long and when you have to make a change, then you have to make a change.

She took the magazine from a dowdy "country" feel to a hip, urban, fun feel! I hear all the time how people "think" a magazine with a name like 'Country Living' should be, but in reality, it's such a breath of fresh air, and I always look forward to my next issue!

and.................I just want to say "thank you" again for all the emails i am getting about "shop" news of moving. My sale at the shop starts today, and will go for one month. It truly will be an experience at the new location!

I leave for Cali in 2 weeks for Heather Bullards " A Parisian Holiday", I'll get to finally meet Sara, who does so much for me, and Beth Quinn, she who is so talented! It'll be a whirlwind trip of only one night (b-day present), but so exciting as i get to meet up for coffee with some blog friends, and lunch with others.

Country Living Fair....day 2.

Well, Saturday we woke up to SUNSHINE! But we also woke up to the alarm clock not going off in time. We had 10 minutes to throw on our clothes and get to the fair. But we did, and opened to busy day number 2.

Crowds galore, and lines out of our tent. The first pic shows how the front of our tent looked most of the day.

Jeanne's paper goodies were flying off the shelf, and Beth's handmade vintage bracelets were being grabbed and nabbed.

We were so happy to be next to our Friends Kara & Darcy from Mcmaster and Storm. Their shop was so lovely, and also Teri & Serena from The Farm Chicks. Two pairs of Fabulous, creative women.

We did manage to finally go to dinner as a group on Saturday. The food at The Northstar Cafe was out of the world.

What an amazing venue this year was. Unfortunately, the rain on Friday dampened our spirits, but it sure didn't stop the shoppers.

I will post a few more pics in the next few day!

Dinner in the Midwest....

Who doesn't love to sit outside, on a lovely evening, in a beautiful garden setting? The wine is chilled, the table set, the candles burning.
Now add the mosquito's, the large bugs, the little bugs, and the bugs in between!
Hence, the best invention ever made......
the mosquito net!
It even adds a sweet ambiance to the setting, don't you think?
On a second note, I cannot believe that The Country Living Show is only 6 weeks away!
OMG!
I have SO much work to do to get ready! Last year I signed up to do the show a mere 6 weeks ahead of time, and showed up at the show, sold out of everything, but was NOT prepared. Little did I know what i was getting myself into. The show is huge, and this year, we are going to be prepared, and the whole shop is coming to Ohio!
I also haven't decided if the shop is going to close or not that weekend, but i will let you know.
I'm also SO excited because I get to have an evening with some special ladies. Some of the girls that I got to meet last year, Mcmaster and Storm gals , The Farm Chick gals, as well as a few talented friends that have Etsy shops are getting together for a "shop gal" dinner.......yippee. Oh, I do hope you'll join us Sara!
