where women create....

Have you ever picked up the magazine "Where women Create"? It's put out by Stampington & Co., and it's quarterly magazine shows the amazing places where women create. It's pretty incredible, some of the spaces that they show, whole floors of homes turned into creative spaces, fabulous rooms, to die for spaces. Come on in, this is where I create, this is my space.

This place is my sunroom / office/ shop at the moment. It's where I take my photo's because the light in here is amazing even in the grayest of the winter.

I'm not a crafter, you won't find me creating in that way, but what I am is a visualizer. I create with my eyes, my sense of style, and my brain never seems to want to stop. A girlfriend commented the other day, she said, " do you ever stop"? And the truth is.. No. I wake up in the middle of the night with new ideas, and have to jot them down. I am a visual person. I don't create with my hands, I create with my eyes. I carry my camera around with me everywhere, because there is beauty everywhere, its just knowing how to find it.

This is where I work now that there is no more shop. This is my shop. This is where I read to my children. This is where I have my morning cup of coffee {minus the croissants, thank you}. This is where I start my day. This is where I catch up on your day to day, and let you know about mine. This is where I wrap and package your orders.

Now you know where I work.

Have a great Monday!

So very pretty and organized...I just looked over at my work table--I think a small bomb just went off!
well, I have been busy crafting this morning (I made a purse from an angora sweater!!It's adorable!)
I love the bird hook. Also, the little glass jars for paperclips. Great stuff.
{sigh} I'll go clean up now.

What a charming space! It has such a paris flea market vibe to it which of course I LOVE. And that love seat is absolutely to die for. It couldn't be cuter. And what a nice sunny creative spot to work at - lucky you!

Great space Kasey! I love seeing where people work and find inspiration. One of these days I will clean my space up enough to show where I create;) We are definitely kindred spirits in the way that we think. I too wake up often with my head spinning with ideas. I keep a journal on my nightstand to capture all of my late night brainstorming. I might need a couple of extra lives to do all of things that I have dreamt up!

It is beautiful! I really love that chair, or is it a loveseat? I will never show where I create - it isn't a pretty picture! On another note, I know a girl here in Portland whose studio was featured in the latest issue of that magazine. I haven't seen it yet and this reminds me I need to pick it up.

I love the croissant post. Good for you for working out. When your kids ask if there is a baby in your tummy, you should just smile because remember you lOOOOVE being prego...not me. I guess it's because you always look fabulous with a little one cooking.

I love your explanation of what kind of "creator" you are! I'm not a crafter either but I can so relate to waking up the night with an idea I can't wait to try.

We are on a tight budget right now but God keeps giving me ways of moving my own things around and repurposing them. It's almost more fun than shopping (almost....).

thanks for the inspiration. I am bookmarking you RIGHT NOW.
