show and tell.....

I love old benches, and this one was in need of some TLC. I found the perfect fabric to adorn the top and that way it could be used inside, and very useable to sit on.

all i needed was the fabric, some upholstery nails, hammer and batting for the inside.

This darling piece measures 36 x 16.

It looks darling in front of my desk but I thought it would be more darling on my shop site:)
{it won't go in shop till next week, but if you are interested, email me}

Kasey..after having that excat bench for over 20 yrs..in and out of the garden.. I put it by the side of the road and a neighbour asked for it..I had painted a scene on it and it was all washed off..I said sure!

Since ..I have seen 2 ideas I could have done:(

Happy it's in good hands though..I like her.

SO GOOD! It looks beautiful. Job very very well done. I picked up a wonderful and really old piano bench at a yard sale last summer...getting some idea here.

So cute!! I love little benches too! I'm hopefully headed to the Alameda Antiques (flea) market tomorrow - this is a great idea if I find any little benches - one would be so cute in my daughter's room. I love the fabric too!!
