1. make sure you know where your scarf is before you go pee at a restroom.
2. just because you have a tub of popcorn at the movies followed by an apple...that isn't "watching what you eat..."
2. just because you have a tub of popcorn at the movies followed by an apple...that isn't "watching what you eat..."
3. Somehow i end up with 2 out of 3 kids.......which makes for uneven parenting....
5. I love living in a state that has four seasons.....
6. The book and the movie...'where the wild things are' ...are quite different { i love that my kids questioned everything in the movie}....even why Max was so unhappy.
7. I can cry at a childrens movie.......
8. Skirts are really cute inside the house....but when you step outside and it's 30 degrees...your leg hairs start to hate you......
9. My kids love boxed {dehydrated} mashed potatoes......and it's just as easy to make as mac n cheese...
10. I made homemade pancakes the other day...and Fin demanded that i give him the real pancakes....the ones from the freezer.......{why do i bother cooking..}
10. Even though i promised i would have the "official" invite ready for 'An Inspired Evening'.....some things don't go as planned ....
11. I'm glad i don't have a checklist.....umm.....i do have a checklist actually.....but don't worry...because i'm not one of those that gets carried away when things don't go as planned....nope....i'm not one of those..

you always look so freakin' cute. Gag me! ;)
Hi there..loved your ten things! I agree, #1 is very important..You are very pretty, your kids are so cute, what a fun day with Mom! I live with 4 seasons too..I want to see Wild Things..is it good? I cry in kids movie's too.."Spirit"..my whole t=shirt was soaked..tonight "Paulie" was on..cried. Leg hair thing(LOL) really! The pancake kid...so funny. my husband LOL too, really! You're the best! One can only imagine what happened to your scarf !?LOL
Have a great week!
The "real" pancakes- that one especially cracked me up!
I love your 10 things list. Especially the scarf. It always helps to remind those who haven't had fall come yet.
LOVE your long hair - my hair is at the point where I need to stick it out or cut it all off. I'm leaning toward cutting it off....but I don't have the pixie-ness going on so I'd look like a big oaf with no hair....not cute.
sigh....you're fabulous! xoxo
What a fabulous weekend...sorry about the leg hairs...we had summer weather here....my kids can't wait to see the movie...always hesitant on going to a movie that's been made from one of our favorite books...
Your outfits always make me want to take a lighter to mine..how do you do it1?!?! You are amazing!!

Cute post :-)
Have a wonderful week!!
Even in the middle of the woods you are cute!!!! I'm glad you put up the picture of what shoes you had on because as I was reading this I kept wondering "what kind of shoes would kasey wear in the woods?" ha!
we love walks in the woods too. love the photos, so sweet.
love that scarf my friend
even if it did get a little wet...
Awesome photos. I thought of you when I saw your tweet about the Wild Things...
We're definitely planning on seeing that one in the theatre.
HELLO girlie! Fabulous pictures!!!
I'm terribly behind on everything...
:) T
Glad to hear the movie was good, I can't wait to see it!
~Michelle
Love the pics - looks like you had a great weekend. I felt the same way about Where The Wild Things Are - finally a "smart" kids movie - sometimes the little ones get so underestimated! I am going to give you a call today.
Jill
Oh, and thanks for the 10 things - I know as close as you are going to get to following the directions of the blog award! Loved em!
LOve your pictures! I need a movie night soon.Oh and about that scarf....i found out the hard way at the Razorback game two weeks ago. Thank goodness I discovered it before it was too late...whewwww. Saved that 3.00 scarf!
Great pics, as usual!
cute photos. i wonder why i cook too. if i make a big meal noone is home to eat it. if i don't, they are home wondering why "there is nothing to eat". i think i'll start just making box potatoes and freezer pancakes. sounds perfect to me. xo!
Beautiful photographs- it looks like it was a fun filled weekend. I love your white scarf!
I always love your photos!!!
Good Morning! I just found your blog and spent the last two hours reading from day one. I enjoyed it so much because if I didn't know better, I would say we are the same person! Same thoughts, same style, same way of living, farmhouse, cooking (or not), thoughts about our children . . .If I had a girl, her name would also have been Lola - but I have 2 boys so I named my cat Lola! :) Reading your blog, has inspired me to start my own - hopefully. It's on the "to do" list!!! I love how you seem to write for yourself, not so much for all of us who tune in to get a glimpse of your life. Glad I found you and can't wait to read more!
Sarah
Nice list of 10 things! What a fun weekend and cool photos! Have a good week!
Janet
Who knew one weekend could hold so many lessons to learn? Sounds like it was a great weekend...love, love the photos:)
P.S. I almost always end up crying during a children's movie{my girls tease me about it}
Your pictures are so great. Does someone take them for you or do you have a triod? My weekend did not go as planned either but may have been more fun! We were supposed to visit my husbands accordion teacher but seeing as he was not feeling well we changed things up a bit. We changed half of my kids playroom into an art studio and my husband and the kids did some oil paintings for me! I cant wait for my fall triptic to dry so i can hang it in my front hall way.
I have had the same scarf situation, so I know what you mean! As far as crying at the movie, I cried at the commercial for it! So your O.K.
Have a nice week!
Learn as ya go right?!?! ;)
Fabulous pictures my friend, just fabulous.
Susan
Great pics...
I too love dehydrated mashed potatoes...
Looks like a great weekend.
Janet

Great pictures Kasey! Not sure about your guys 'hiking' - you all look too perfect! But it sounds like a great weekend. Wish we had 4 seasons here.
you make me smile! needed it today.
What a lovely list. I've done that scarf thing too and I always cry in children movies. xoxo
SC

have a great monday!
Thanks for making me smile this morning....
Hope you have a wonderful day!!
xoxox, Tiffany
Totally relate to the scarf...and it's not only scarves !!!!
Love it when you talk about your cooking 'attempts'and I also love living, in my case, a country (England) with 4 seasons.
Lovely insight into Kasey's world. XXXX
Yup we have those hair problems here in Minnesota too. Doesn't pay to shave really:)
Lovely post--beautiful pics! Lol about the scarf and the bathroom! Little kiddos with overalls can also be problematic for the same reason...
Great photos! I love Lola's hat. Where did you get it? My kids love the frozen waffles better than homemade too. Why is that?
hehe
love these photos!
This is great, and I could very much relate to several of the lessons you learned... (sometimes you just need to leave the scarf at home...)
You make me giggle, nod in agreement, warm my heart, and want to be a better person all with one post.
Well done, lady!!
Wonderful post! I needed a good giggle ;)
Sharon
You and your children are adorable. :) The pictures are beautiful...I live in Texas but love love what bit of cool fall weather we do get to have. How blessed you are to have 4-full seasons!

Love this list!! Haha, kids always keep life entertaining that's for sure. :)
Lovely post and gorgeous photos....that beautiful girl of yours should definitely be in a GAP commercial :)
Tights are your best friend lady! And who says it's not watching your wait? You mean just because I had a salad for dinner and then ate a million s'mores, I wasn't sticking to my diet? Crap.
walks in the woods are great, love your pictures. i like the scarf tip :) take care, susan
a very educational weekend! I agree with you about the tub of popcorn - although I get the diet coke to go with it, not an apple ;)
You have the cutest blog! And I'm only just now discovering you, wassup with that? LOVE the ones about your leg hairs and your scarf. Yeah...had that last little bit of unpleasantness happen to me in Warrenton, ick!
So nice to meet you,
Anne
