Hello monday..

I learned ten things this weekend.

1. make sure you know where your scarf is before you go pee at a restroom.

2. just because you have a tub of popcorn at the movies followed by an apple...that isn't "watching what you eat..."

3. Somehow i end up with 2 out of 3 kids.......which makes for uneven parenting....

4. We love a good walk in the woods.....

5. I love living in a state that has four seasons.....

6. The book and the movie...'where the wild things are' ...are quite different { i love that my kids questioned everything in the movie}....even why Max was so unhappy.

7. I can cry at a childrens movie.......

8. Skirts are really cute inside the house....but when you step outside and it's 30 degrees...your leg hairs start to hate you......

9. My kids love boxed {dehydrated} mashed potatoes......and it's just as easy to make as mac n cheese...
10. I made homemade pancakes the other day...and Fin demanded that i give him the real pancakes....the ones from the freezer.......{why do i bother cooking..}

10. Even though i promised i would have the "official" invite ready for 'An Inspired Evening'.....some things don't go as planned ....

11. I'm glad i don't have a checklist.....umm.....i do have a checklist actually.....but don't worry...because i'm not one of those that gets carried away when things don't go as planned....nope....i'm not one of those..

xo

I love your 10 things list. Especially the scarf. It always helps to remind those who haven't had fall come yet.

LOVE your long hair - my hair is at the point where I need to stick it out or cut it all off. I'm leaning toward cutting it off....but I don't have the pixie-ness going on so I'd look like a big oaf with no hair....not cute.

sigh....you're fabulous! xoxo

What a fabulous weekend...sorry about the leg hairs...we had summer weather here....my kids can't wait to see the movie...always hesitant on going to a movie that's been made from one of our favorite books...

Your outfits always make me want to take a lighter to mine..how do you do it1?!?! You are amazing!!

Love the pics - looks like you had a great weekend. I felt the same way about Where The Wild Things Are - finally a "smart" kids movie - sometimes the little ones get so underestimated! I am going to give you a call today.

Good Morning! I just found your blog and spent the last two hours reading from day one. I enjoyed it so much because if I didn't know better, I would say we are the same person! Same thoughts, same style, same way of living, farmhouse, cooking (or not), thoughts about our children . . .If I had a girl, her name would also have been Lola - but I have 2 boys so I named my cat Lola! :) Reading your blog, has inspired me to start my own - hopefully. It's on the "to do" list!!! I love how you seem to write for yourself, not so much for all of us who tune in to get a glimpse of your life. Glad I found you and can't wait to read more!

Who knew one weekend could hold so many lessons to learn? Sounds like it was a great weekend...love, love the photos:)
P.S. I almost always end up crying during a children's movie{my girls tease me about it}

maura said...

Your pictures are so great. Does someone take them for you or do you have a triod? My weekend did not go as planned either but may have been more fun! We were supposed to visit my husbands accordion teacher but seeing as he was not feeling well we changed things up a bit. We changed half of my kids playroom into an art studio and my husband and the kids did some oil paintings for me! I cant wait for my fall triptic to dry so i can hang it in my front hall way.

Gretchen said...

I have had the same scarf situation, so I know what you mean! As far as crying at the movie, I cried at the commercial for it! So your O.K.
Have a nice week!
