good bye...

I'm not very good with goodbye's....because i tend to shed a tear or two. But not today. Do you see a peek of the black ceiling fan in the pic above? I bid it farewell.......

thanks to my electrician, who happened to be in town this last weekend. His name is "dad", and he's quite pleasant to work with.......

in it's place, i put my beloved grey chandie that's been sitting quietly in a corner for the last year......

i have to say i do love it....

I hope you all have a wonderful long weekend...
oh....and my good friend Anne over at City Sage said i really should bring 8 pairs of shoes to Spokane with me, 2 pairs for each day...because shoes are like food....you need a variety to stay healthy.
I think i have to agree.

Much better! I am laughing ~ we have 2 of the most hideous fans in our house. It has gotten to the point I don't notice them so much but hmmmm....after seeing what you've done I feel a change is in order. You know what? I didn't get the Friday drinks email! Can you send again? Have a wonderful weekend.

Everybody should have such a complying electrician! The new lighting really makes an impact.
I always carry a suitcase with just shoes...one just never knows.
I love the fabric on the pole lamp shade. Who's design is it?
The whole room is inviting and just beautiful.

Super! It is a really pretty chandelier and goes perfectly. Those ceiling fans... whose idea were they anyway?

...I've always loved antique chandeliers, yours is perfect!

I can't give up my two ugly ceiling fans, they are much needed where I live. Though I do have three antique chandeliers elsewhere in the house. One in our formal dining, one in our breakfast nook and the other is in foyer. So that's not too shabby :)
Thanks for sharing the lovely photos!
Have a great weekend Kasey...
