fresh flowers...

Hello girls!

This weekend went pretty fast.

oops....

it's still only Saturday....and i'm sitting here while the kids watch a movie.

My weekend started with me deciding on having a yard sale Friday.......so i spent all day Thursday pricing and scouring the house for things to sell.

word to the wise: yard sales are not fun.

I would much rather spend Friday mornings shopping them then having them.

anyways....after i closed up and packed up what was left from the sale....because i was not about to sit and haggle all day Saturday as well....i loaded up Mason & Lola and we dropped off the remaining loot at goodwill then headed to Trader Joe's.

I needed some wine.

well....not just wine.....but that was on the very top of the list...

along with some fresh flowers and .... maybe just a few more bottles of wine....

to get the thru the weekend.

because it seems like from reading all of your comments of me pouring my heart out to you....

which i thank you SO very much......you girls are so wonderful........

but that you all seem to think i need a little more wine to get me thru the next week and a half.

I second that notion....

I am not going to argue with you.....oh no i won't......i promise.

But........

before i go any further....i wanted to let you know about the book.

Did you just say..what book?

Well....my friends decided i need to write a book about my life......

and i told them.......this here is my book.......

i write.

you read.

because after i tell you what happened at Trader Joe's on Friday afternoon.....

you will in fact agree that my life is an open book......

and i am letting you know right off the bat...
that my life is pretty crazy....
and funny.

don't you love flowers?? I do.

I know..i know....you are dying for the Trader Joe's story aren't you??

I always get off track....silly me.

Well.....I need a few more days to recover from that whole incident.

just a few more days.....

so i thought while i prepare my story for you....that i offer this darling linen floral necklace that my good friend Kimberly made for me......
just a little something for you....
just leave a comment and i will pick someone in a few days.

xo

Kasey,

I love me some Trader Joe's - plus you can't beat the prices for wine!

Had fun with Kim on Friday - we talked about you - in a good way...wish you could have joined us but a yard sale sounds much more fun (not!).

Oh, how I would love to win that necklace!

You definitely need lots of wine (me too!) - and you really should think about writing a book - I'd be the first in line to buy it! I already have one of these amazing necklaces, so I don't need to be in the drawing, but I'll tell whoever wins - they are really lucky 'cause it's beautiful!!

Sign me up for the give-away pretty please and in the mean time I will wait for the rest of the Trader Joe story. And about home schooling. I admire people that do it but I don't know how they do it. I couldn't and I admire your decision to stop. Do what's best for you. :) I hope you are having a great weekend.

Thanks so much for your last post. I share your sentiments all too well. One of my friends was tearing up about her 1st starting kindergarten. My boy is 4.5, and *boy, oh boy* I'd send him this year if I could. My daughter is 1.5, so between the two of them my house is constant choas. {Point in case: http://miajoie.blogspot.com/2009/07/this-is-why.html

Oh, and my husband is a wine buyer. We pretty much believe that small children were why God invented red wine and dark chocolate. Love the necklace and would love to win it. If you ever want to do a shoe giveaway, like one of my fuzzy boots, on your blog, let me know! :)

blessings!
