Reflections

I don't have very many pictures of my mom with lola.

I know for a fact...i don't have any with my mom...lola...and myself....all together.

the girls.

This picture was taken when i was in New Mexico last month...and of all things... i was actually getting a shot on the other side of the car .....of an old church.

The funny thing is.. one of my very good friends took almost the same picture of her daughter the same week.....a reflection in the car window.

As i was going thru photo's yesterday...i came across this and fell in love with it once i cropped it.

Lola is looking at me......and my mom is smiling at lola....and i just happened to get the three of us girls in one shot....

with not one of us realizing what we were doing.......

{but i have a feeling lola was sure she was in the shot.......as a matter of fact....now that i'm really looking...i am pretty sure she is well aware she is in the shot}.
the girls.

As i wind down my last two days at home with the kids.....i promise not to get all emotional on you....because i will be the strong one when these children get on the bus Wednesday morning.

no....no tears from me........

well ....maybe just a few tears.......

tears of joy.

Deep Breath.
anyways....remember last week how i mentioned meeting a blog friend.....you can read her post here. Wendy sure was a sweetheart....and her kids {if she would let me show you their picture} were adorable.

....one more little thing...i'm having problems {still} with my email address...so if you need to contact me...just email me at kaseybuick@comcast.net
I hope everyone had a great weekend...i,myself...got in a little shopping at the flea market and dragged my hubby to Julie and Julia last night...

I love that picture. I so wish I would have taken more pictures of my mom, and especially my mom with the kids.

I don't know what to say about the CPS comment...was she serious?

Kasey, I'm so happy for you about that picture! What a great catch!

ps I think that the gal whose comment is still there was kidding. Ugh! That must have been a shock! (I walked a mile and a half to school when I was little and my brothers and I, and all of our friends would run around all day...playing in the woods...jumping bikes off deep dug-out house foundation holes on construction sites..etc...well, the boys did that).

Why are other people anonymous? I know...it's George Clooney. George Clooney is secretly following your blog. Wouldn't that be funny? : )

Kasey I just love the pic!... and as for the Anonymous member of her private club, hopefully she was kidding, but if not,...well I decided to not even waste time posting what I think about her silly comment!!

the reflection is my favorite! Lola's sweet smile and she is looking out you melts any mothers heart! especially with your mom looking on! how much love they have for you!
The school count down has begun! To bad we all can't meet at a fabulous cafe for latte's and sweets to laugh about our summer and discuss what falls has in store for all us moms!!!

I've said it before (2 days ago) and I'll say it again: Stanley Tucci = Total Babe. I dare you to disagree.

So ignore my email asking when they go back to school... I have one more week than you do, but that is okay, because re-enforcements are coming tomorrow in the form of my world-traveling husband and my dad, so this last week should be a breeze!
Have a fabulous week,

GREAT SHOT! LOVE IT!

And start taking more pictures of the moms and girls...my mother hates her self so much on film, that I don't think I have ONE picture of me as a child with her.
Coming from a girl who takes THOUSANDS of pictures I find this really odd.

Sometimes the best photos are the ones we weren't even trying to get...love it:) But, trust me on this, do try to get some pictures of you, Lola & your Mom together; make an "appointment" if necessary. Photos you'll cherish:)

What an awesome camera shot. You did that on purpose and are just too humble to admit it, right? SoOOO jealous that you got to meet Wendy. Good luck with that first day of school thing, girl.
