Twinkle toes.....

alright.

yes...i am having a few glasses of my favorite red wine as i write......

and if you can name it....then you win a prize.

maybe....

yes....that is me....

and i have a wand in my hand.....

with a scarf...

and a sweater...

and a hat...

i'm just letting you know it's Autumn here....

it topped out at about 55 this weekend.....

but i'm not complaining....

because i love this weather..

bring.it.on

but i'm sure you are wondering about the wand...

well.....my good friends decided to surprise me with it on saturday..

it's a long story...but if you read this post {here}..then you know that

i was heckled the ENTIRE time about the white skirt i had on...

so they called up a mutual friend....to make me a wand...

and that mutual friend {Janet}..showed up on Saturday with this wrapped up gift for me.

voila....

the wand.

I told the kids tonight....

i guess i'm gonna be the tooth fairy for Halloween...

and all they did was nod...and say...

yup...i guess so.

This is the "studio~shop~space"....whatever you want to call it.

I called it Industrial chic....at it's finest.....

...and if you don't eat flour or sugar....then you should skip this part.....

because the crepe's were good....

i mean great....

i mean......

well...

i had 4 of them.....

YES.....

you read that right....i had 4 of them.

I ate my children's crepe's....

so of course they are not talking to me...

but guess what...

I . WILL. LIVE.

i might be a little heavier though....

but seriously...who's counting caleries right now.

i forgot to mention something......

my friend Denisa....the girl who is making the crepe's....

well.....

she has a "chalet" in the south of France.

yes...you heard right.......

a "chalet" in the south of France...

and she offered me the use of it.

BUT...

she said there is no running water...

eeeeek

the good thing is.....

there is water out back...which you can pump yourself.

So i told her....are you kidding me???

I've been dreaming about traveleing to the south of France and

staying at a "chalet".....

and pumping my own water !!

seriously......

pumping my own water at a chalet in the south of France......

sorry...

i'm getting carried away....
again...

I met the most wonderful girls on Saturday.

Cutie Martha and hubbie drove up from St. Louis {pictured above},

sweet Alee drove up from Indiana...

and lots of lurkers.....

i love lurkers by the way....

they are the girls that know everything about you...

but you know nothing about them....

speaking of lurking....

don't know how this pic got here...

somehow....

i was thinking of the beach...

and surfboards...

and sand....
with a bit of sun....

back to Saturday.....
and that bit of industrial chic....
wait till you see what i'm going to do with that library cart....

It was fun.
The eating part...
the meeting new friends...
but not the part where i stepped on the scale...
and realized......
that i have to go to the gym....
twice a day for 6 months......
but that's just me.....
How was your weekend?

xo

Love crepes!! I would have had 4 too. You are too funny with your wand.

I don't drink wine- so I can't guess what your favorite kind is.

But if you can guess what kind of tequila I'm drinking. You can win a prize.

Okay, you're right. I'm not drinking tequila right now.

I love your wand! I wish I had one!
I work in a restaurant and let me tell you about a crepe I had when we were slow one day.

5ish words, Deep fried, chocolate, peanut butter crepe with whip cream.

Oh yeah I went there. I gained 20 lbs looking at it.

So anyways, you make me laugh. Thank you :) Sorry this is entirely too long.

Looks like you had a fantastic weekend. I never get tired of looking at your wonderful pics. They are soooo dreamy with your decor.

Looks like so much fun! Everything you touch is magical. Now for the wine... I may be way off base, but is it Two Buck Chuck? Ya know, Charles Shaw? I may be offending your wine sense, but hey, I drink it sometimes too. They have a white one that I actually really like. Anyways, if it's some fancy wine you favor, please forgive me. ;-)

After the new year, I swear!

What a fun weekend! I wish I could have come to your shop and had some of those amazing crepes!! This weekend I tried to make your pumpkin blueberry bread but I failed miserably! Blueberries are out of season and were crazy expensive at the store. I tried Trader Joe's but they were out and didn't have canned pumpkin yet :( I might have to use frozen blueberries, boo. I'm trying again tonight. I'll let you know how it goes :)
