backyard love...

If you can get past the dirty fingernails....then by all means...stay a bit. I am not bathing the kids as much...

ya know....

just trying to save a buck or two...

cutting corners....

and i'll tell you why in a different post.

I don't know about you...but i am a lover of white pumpkins.

especially the little one's....

the babies.

I'm trying to get ready for Saturday.....and so these little guy's have made their way around my home and yard.

I went into Anthro yesterday...just to get a little inspiration.....and i walked out overwhelmed.

I loved how they have chopped wood everywhere....bundles and bundles of wood.....stacked

on tables.....under tables....

on chairs...

under chairs...

so i came home and asked "hottie" to go out and chop me some wood......

because i was on a mission......

i wanted that Anthro look...with chopped wood ....everywhere.

yup.....

this is what i got.

4 pieces of chopped wood.

"hottie".....got in the car....drove 2 blocks to the gas station and bought a little bundle of wood.

Hopefully we don't burn it all with the next smore's night...

seriously......

am i asking to much??

and don't look to fast.....

because you'll miss it completely....

Try not to be jealous......

oh...

and speaking of baby names..

i guess we weren't speaking of baby names...but we are now..

....my brother and his wife are narrowing down the boy names.....so if you still have some ideas....leave then on {this post}...but they really like Cuttler, Bennett, and Preston. And i love how so many of you love the name Finn....but i have one....and we spell it Fin....so chances are pretty slim that they are going to choose that name......just letting you know.

Those names are not official by any means....but they are in the top 5.

And i did not forget about the giveaway.....

nope....did not.

here are the winners:

Anthro: Christy Donoho

Lola b's package: Perfect Sentiment {erin}

Restaurant: Brenna Lapray {sorry shanna...you snooze ya lose}

I just found your blog! I love the white pumpkins and wood decor, so gorgeous! Too bad you don't live closer to me, we have cords and cords of wood stacked EVERYWHERE (it's our main heating source for 11 nearly grown people and we prepare 2-3 years in advance).

Laughed so hard at your husband's ambitious cord of wood! I also have a husband who thinks I am insane, oh well! I am glad you have mastered the Bedazzler, that skill still alludes this lifelong artist. Love your blog!

DAMNIT!!!I wanted a bedazzled something!!! Oh well :(
However, Prestyn is a name I believe I suggested and that's almost better than a bedazzled something to know someone else likes the name as much as I do!

And your peak at your backyard are beautiful, even without loads of chopped wood. At least he's "hot", right?

Congratulations to the lucky winners! I bet they are on cloud nine today.

Love the look and creativity with the pumpkins and wood. Unfortunately, one of my kids wouldn't see the art in my careful placement and would use them for something more practical like cricket or rolling down the hill or throwing in the pool.

I guess there is art in smashed pumpkin across the back deck too ...!

That pile of wood really makes a statement! Maybe you should put on of your bedazzled creations with it! They seem to be a hit.

Love the photo of the pumpkin on the plates!!

Yes, I love white pumpkins. I'm in love with white anything. Even though I suspected the answer, anthropologie does not exist in Vermont. (I'm barely existing in Vermont!) I did find the online catalog, that will have to do.

We had some freebie gourds grow in our veggie garden this year from last falls compost. I was so excited until they died in mid August :( I guess this isn't the climate for pumpkins and gourds!

Love your white pumpkins, Lola. Yes, that wood pile looks a little on the sparse side, but just think, you won't have a bug problem, 'cause bugs just love wood, so Anthro must be crawling with them by now.

Martha said...

White pumpkins are my FAV too:) Love em, love em...actually just bought some too for a client appreciation night.

The firewood is priceless...for sure would be my hubby's thinking too:)

Suzann said...

Tell your hubby I've got some trees that need to come down in my backyard and they will give you that Anthro look for sure.

But, I'll be there on Saturday - yeah me!! So I guess, I win.

I happened upon your blog via Mia Joie, the title is what caught my interest, as my daughter's name is Lola! I have been sitting here reading your sweet stories - your pictures on the railroad track are beautiful of your family! Somehow the mama's never make it in them, food or not!

Wanted to suggest a boy name - Kyan. That is my son's name, and I must say that I adore him, so how could I not throw that one in the mix, although I do like the list that is already there!

Have a great day!

Bedazzler? For real? I don't know, that sounds akin to the battery operated hair braider I got my mother-in-law for Christmas one year. {Hey, it was on her list.} I don't believe it can be non-tacky. I need pictures.
