I love plum.....

I spent the entire day combing the city for a pair of plum knee high riding boots.

I'm not asking for much......i mean.....how hard is it for the big stores to stock some really cool boots? Oh...they all have them in black and brown.....some that zip.....some that pull on......but it seems like they could do a little better if you ask me. I did find this dress above.....of course it's at Anthro.....and when i walked in and tried it on.......it fit just perfect....like it was made for me.

I told the sales lady.......remember me??? I'm the one that Anthro named their skinny jean after....remember??

she didn't remember me.

no biggie though.....because i was going to ask for a discount on the dress....i figured....that's the least they could do for me......give me a teeeeeeny...tiiinnnnnnny...discount for using my name and all......

but no......

she wouldn't budge.

She asked me if she should call "headquarters"......just to "double check"....my story..........and i just said never mind....

seriously......

they should be sending me truckloads of free stuff for using my name.......

but that's just me....rambling on.....

let me ask you....have you ever shopped H&M?? I do. Let me ask you something else.....have you ever bought kids clothes there?

I did.

I think it's time for another fall photo shoot with my kids.....don't ya think?

{it's in your best interest not to say no....}

and it won't be in front of a barn this year....nope it won't......

i have found another spot.......

but you will have to wait and see....

Anyways.....even though we are having crazy weather......i'm so excited for my pumpkin latte.....

i had to grab one this morning on my shopping expedition...even though i came home with just some clothes for the kids.....

and the best pear and blue cheese salad from Nordstroms .....

i need to live off of salads for awhile.....seems like i've fallen off the bandwagon....

my husband told me that my gym called and they are wondering where i am.

WHAT!

what kind of gym calls and asks that?

aaaghh.

so today is your lucky day......because i did not find my I LOVE PLUM boots that i so totally need at the moment......

i went and bought some extra Starbucks gift cards so a few of you could try a latte yourself....
no...not all of you....even though i wish i could give you all one.....
but i'll pick a handful of you.

xo

It's a good thing you grew up with Gabina, so you can read that first comment! LOVE the plum dress...and as for the boots, it's ok you didn't find them, because now you will have to go shopping again!!!

mmmmm...a pumpkin latter. I also like the gingerbread ones at Christmas. I will be waiting for the kids fall preview and can't wait to see where it will be this year :) And I'll keep my eyes open for plum riding boots. Me? I just ordered another brown pair.

I love plum, too! I'm so happy that it's finally autumn and we can get the yummy pumpkin drinks from starbucks.

I absolutely adore fall and grabbing a pumpkin spice latte will be the first thing I do after the kids are safely in school next week. Nevermind that it is supposed to be in the 80's here next week. Not very fall-like but still.. I love to get the white chocolate peppermint mochas there when I am Christmas shopping too. MMmmm Starbucks.

Heading out for the first pumpkin latte of the season later this afternoon! Boden had some plum boots.

I've been having the hardest time find knee high boots in my town- granted it's a smallish town. But still, grrr.

I took a little trip Starbucks just a few minutes ago and nearly squealed with delight when I saw the Pumpkin Spice lattes were "back by popular demand." Those Starbucks people are smart. They'd certainly have a mutiny on their hands if they didn't bring 'em back. !

Love, love, love your blog! Can't wait for your online boutique to open again. I'm ready to spruce up my cottage for fall, while enjoying my PS lattes of course.

Fall is such a fun time of year! New school clothes (hey mom has to look good while dropping the kids off right?) and the yummy flavors are back at Starbucks. Now if we could just hold off the rain for another couple of months it would be perfect--on second thought, lattes taste better on cloudy days.

mmm...would love to try the pumpkin latte. Love anything with pumpkin!

That gorgeous plum dress reminds me of two things....a velvet plum dress with tiny pearl buttons I had when I was 4 years old. I loved that dress and kept it around for years in my closet. Secondly, I desperately need a dress for a wedding in Chicago in 2 weeks. Going to Anthro!!! Starbucks is on the way.....

Ali said...

Oh, I just love the pumpkin latte, and their pumpkin cream cheese muffin thingies too! You know it is almost fall when they bring out the pumpkin lattes! Too bad it is still a gazillion degrees in Texas and I am still drinking the shaken iced tea lemonade! Anyways, I just love plum and that dress is too pretty! How dare anthro not give you a discount! Hope you find those boots soon. Take care.

I would love some plum boots too!! But a pumpkin spice latte would help settle my nerves. Good luck with the boots. I'll let you know if I spy some.

I'm not sure I've ever tried a latte. I do LOVE Starbucks hot chocolate. It won't be cool enough for hot chocolate for a few months though.

You know, I didn't realize how many people like the Pumpkin Spice Latte. I thought they brought it back just for me. :)

They have an H&M next to our anthro. I don't dare go there with all the kids. I'm headed to anthro tomorrow w/ "just" two of the kids though. There is a ruffle coat I am just dying to check out.

I've been avoiding Anthro's site lately as to keep myself from being tempted. So, thanks a lot. ;-)

Oh, how I love fall and Pumpkin Spice lattes! The only problem is, it's still over 100 degrees here. Somehow the two just don't go together.

Ya know, we don't even have Anthro or H&M here. Or Starbucks. For reals!!

However, there *is* a Starbucks about 30 minutes away and if you feel like choosing me because I'm your most loyal blog follower ever, I'd drive there, get my pumpkin latte, and blog about you every day for a week.

Fact.

I cannot believe that you did not get a discount ~ the nerve of some people! As for the boots ~ don't you hate when you have something in your mind that you want and then cannot find it?? Makes you want to have scads of money (scads ~ where on earth did I come up with that one!) and you could just go to your local shoemaker and get a pair ordered up ~ custom made just for you!

I always enjoy reading your blog, when you find those boots please keep us posted! Starbucks is my addiction,my husband told me to slow it down. Well, I am a mom and a business owner, so coffee basically fuels my business. How else can a mom of 2 children under 5 run a business, I wonder, without no sleep and LOTS of coffee. In other words, I share your affinity for Starbucks and the all important java bean.

As for boots, I bought a pair of these dtf Kenzie boots on ebay...they don't look it, but they are a plummy brown. DO you wear size 8?
