Must have curvy legs...

It seems a lot of things go on in my house when i have no choice but to stay home. The laundry gets folded....the dishes get emptied from the dw....rooms get cleaned and dusted....

it's amazing....

okay...you got me...i don't necessarily dust....i mean...i don't get out the feather duster....

but i do get out the ole swifter....

and run it over the hardwoods....

that i do.

This chair.....is one i picked up at my flea market a month ago.....

and i really didn't know where i was going to put it...

till i dragged it up to Lola's room.

I have been on the lookout for a chair with a little curve appeal...

because a girly chair must have girly curves...

Lola's room has been going thru a transformation for the last few months.....

with this was the final piece that i needed to complete it....

and don't worry...i'll show some pics of the final look as soon as i get her bed made..

because i am doing laundry as i write...

and...

her sheets happen to be in there....

i don't know about you....

but ....

oh never mind....

do you really want to know that my sheets don't get

washed as often as they should...

as a matter of fact i read that

sheets should be laundered ....

at least once a week.....

gasp

...once a week!

{just for the record...i'm pretty sure my mother in law is reading this....so i'm just stating it here..

that the sheets will be laundered the day she arrives.....pinky promise}

back to the chair....it's a pale blue grey......

i even love how the button above is hanging off from a thread...with that little pillow being one

of my favorites.....

with the curvy legs and wide seat....{sorta reminds me of myself}......

i'm just saying....

but please let me just mention that i have been hitting

the gym this week....

early...

as in... 6 am early....

i am on a roll.....

I also wanted to mention that i took bryan to see the beloved farm last sunday. He fell in love with it....actually.....he fell in love with the....

man room......

a room of wood ...and beams...and yes...

a mini fridge.

my man fell in love with a man room.

You don't think he gets tired of sitting on our white slip covered sofa's do you?

Oh..and one more thing...

seriously now...

i just want to let you know that i will be one of

those girls.....

yes...

one of those girls...

the over 30 ..married with children...

heading to the movies with some friends..

to see robert pattinson....

aka ..

edward...

yes..that will be me in the theatre...

drooling.

xo

Ohh, I wanna go! I went to a jewelry party tonight with most of my local married 30-something mom friends...so, they've probably used up their free pass for this week!

Have fun!

I am up before dawn on a cold, rainy morning and trying to be very, very quite. What better way to spend my time than by finding great blogs like yours? Love the chair and I had a great time reading back through some of your other posts. I love the way you use your blog.

L.O.V.E. that chair my dear...and what about that pillow? Is it okay if I ask that?
I love curvy chairs...I have one of my G-ma's that I love {maybe not as curvy as that one}...it just needs to be reupholstered...which when I finally decide what color...I am sure it will look grand!
I'm soooo glad about that beautiful farmhouse... I just KNOW it will happen for you...and couldn't be better it has a man room or that he is in love with it himself...

what a pretty chair!!

Staying home generally means some things get done as we get bored. LOL

Okay, I admit it, I haven't read the Twilight books.

Yea, Yea, Yea.

Good for you for hitting the gym!

I need to do that too.

cute chair! You always have the cutest stuff! apparently you didn't see that oprah show about laundering your bed. I'm not going to write about it here because it totally freaked me out and now I wash our sheets all the time AND vacuum the mattresses. Not because I'm this amazing cleaner but because she scared me...

love the whole marshmallow bit... very anthro.

lOvE the chair; why can't i find stuff like that...sigh...wish my little girl had a room of her own that i could decorate; that chair wouldn't last two minutes in the kids' room; it would roped and hog tied like an old cow...hhhmmm...maybe i should find one so i don't have to be the old cow...;0)
saw the trailer to new moon and drooled all over myself...wish i had some 30 something friends to go with; somehow i don't think studly cowboy would appreciate it if i made him go with me ;0)

I remember being in elementary school and a rather prissy girl informed me that every Tuesday her mom would wash all of the sheets in the house. And they had like 5 kids. Every. Tuesday. In that moment I thought that something might be very wrong in my house....and then I realized that her house was the problem one.

Last year I made a commitment to wash all the sheets every Saturday. I lasted about 4 months.

And it was so nice to have fresh sheets all the time.
But what a pain.

I think Rob P. is ugly.
Don't hate me. Can we still be friends?

Debra said...

I'm starting to really like curves in furniture there are so many colors that you can paint furniture. I'm starting to use more bold colors and I'm loving it. What a beautiful chair.

Tara said...

I think I know where you read that about the sheets...was it "the family at home"? I know...I was kind of freaking out when I read that too...lets just say my kids beds don't get laundered once a week and leave it at that....but I do love that book...and the pretty chair.

Jerri said...

What a gorgeous chair! Speaking of sheets my boys both need new ones. Being that last night Tyler brought his top sheet to me and the dog has gnawed a lovely hole in it:) And Zach's sheet ripped almost in half as he was trying to pull it out from under said dog:)Good thing I don't buy expensive sheets!!

So proud of you for getting to the gym...so far I've done it too. Had some sugar... so fell off the wagon there a bit, but today's a new day right??
