Homeland security......

There was chaos here yesterday.

Pure chaos.

I refuse to name any names.....

but it looks like...it might be one of the two sitting above.

Homeland security was breached....

broken into....

deleted...

then discarded like a piece of trash.

What i'm talking about is my beloved twitter account.

yes...i said it.....

i am a twitter addict....

and someone....again..not naming anyone

but they got ahold of my iphone....

to play a game....

then hit the wrong button.

DELETE.

I mean....how were you going to know that we went to

Ihop this morning....

and that they now have nutella crepe's.....

not that i had any.....

but if i did....

i would want to tell you that they were really good.

It's very hard to get ahold of anyone at Twitter headquarters....

very hard.

So...i had to completely sign up for a new account...

and if you want....you can follow me

Now onto some prettier things.

These are my new chandie shades.

handmade of course.

{Ahem}

not by me though.

Sometimes in the creativity department...

i come in a long last.

I was the girl that was always chosen last in school....

you know that kid.....

everyone is choosing teams...and then there are only three kids left...

it was me.......

&

the nose picking different sock wearing kid in thick glasses....

&

the dyslexic girl who grew boobs in 3rd grade and now wears a 38dd.

yup....

sometimes i'm just last in some departments...

but it's okay.

I recruited my good friend Jacki to pretty up my dining room

chandie for me.

Jackie likes to sew.

So we are teaming up.

Team creative and team not so creative.

She's creative......

and with her creativity...

and my.....

hmmmmm.

my what.

Anyways....

we MIGHT team up and you can buy her

fabulous chandie shades soon.

She might not even want me part of her team...

i guess i should ask.

After she reads the team picking part...

she might just not return my calls.

Jacki....hello....hello?

That's me sewing away.....

don't i look pretty?

I've colored my hair.

Oh...and i can sew after all...

see....i am creative.

hmmmm.

alright...you got me....that's Jacki.

I will take some photos as soon as i dust my dining room chandelier.

Dust and i are not good friends.....

nor do my pretty chandie shades like dust either.

p.s. If you are interested in any custom shades for your chandie...

just shoot me an email...

and as soon as my creative partner is ready to open shop...
i will let you know.
Oh...and i realized that the shirt Fin is wearing in the photo at top is the same shirt
he wore at the tea party on Tuesday. I guess i will do some laundry.

OH do I ever LOVE these. I can't wait to see them on your chandelier. HMMMMMMM by the looks of your pictures I would say you are CREATIVE. I hope Jacki opens a shop I would be interested for sure. I wish I could sew. I am the only girl out of 5 girls who can't sew. I admire those women that can. LOVE your photos. You have the best blog. I wanted to tell you I brought in my bistro table, I wasn't able to get the same effect as yours. I guess I will just have to keep looking at your photo and pretend it is in my home.
Take Care,
Maria

Your too funny Kasey. Love the chandies and can't wait to see how they look! Great idea. If it makes you feel any better...I realized Lil' Bug wore the same shirt to school the next day on Wednesday...He went to bed in it and I gave him clean pants and forgot to make sure he changed his shirt...opps...see I get mom of the year award too! :)

Hugs,
Victoria

I have so much fun reading your blog! I think I have every shot of your sun room saved - it's an on-going conversation with my husband for him to build me a sun room so I can have pretty settee and French chairs! I can't wait to see these on your chandelier ~

Kasey. You've taken up residence in my brain, haven't you?

I just thought yesterday as I was looking at my chandie as blogs were loading on my computer....and saying to myself: "I think this chandie would look cute with some shades"

So...sign me up. These are way too cute. 6, please. ;)

Oh, such pretty little shades, love the ruffles! I have to get with the program on the sewing thing too! It is on my list of things to accomplish this year. I WILL sew something. Maybe pillowcases or little curtains, they shouldn't be too hard right?

Oh yeah, I need some of those shades...lots. Maybe, if they don't cost me my months allowance. I both despise and and covet such talent.

Well, you gotta do what you gotta do, and sometimes that's give your iphone away to keep some peace. Dang it on the deleting part. Hope you got some peaceful minutes during the whole wipeout part.

The shades are so very pretty!

Hmmm...in my experience, the girl that is a 38dd isn't usually picked last for anything! Not that I would know or anything...wink...wink. Love the chandi shades...now dust that chandelier and show me the finished product! ~mary`

You are too creative! But being creative doesn't always mean one can sew...I have to pull out the manual everytime the bobbin needs to be changed. I'm not joking. My poor mother tried for years to teach me...and she sewed all of her clothes. Love your little world...and I could move in, don't worry about the dust!

Hmmm...those shades are pretty darn cute if I say so myself! I love your photos. What a great photo of the boys with that camera.
Cute story too. Can't wait too to see the finished look on your lighting. Hope it comes as soon as a Monday post....

Okay girl this is crazy! I was just cutting little pieces of white fabric for a raw edged ruffle around the bottom of my chandie shades. I'm making them today, but I think I'm using hot glue... and they are just going at the bottom, not the whole shade!

Hmmm.. great minds? I think, YES! :)

Kacey said...

Oh, those boys!

The shades are gorgeous!

And, what's all this I'm hearing about Nutella lately? It seems to be all over the place. I've never tried it, but I'm thinking I need to.

Love the shades...so dreamy! I can't sew, either. Good thing I have a friend {like you have Jackie} who can:) And, for the record, I was one of those kids picked last for teams in PE; oh how I disliked gym class! My two daughters, though, love love PE...go figure;)
