hello baby.....

That was a quick five days away.

quick.

We left Thursday morning...and just got home.

I was going through all of the photos and there is

only one of me.

just one.

obviously...because i'm the one behind the camera...

taking pics of the kids all weekend.

I broke down and bought a winter jacket before i left for the mountains.

Do you see the snowboarders behind me....

watching me...

like i'm going to hop on my board...

and tear up the mountain...

in my jeans.

Do you know a lot of people wear jeans while skiing?

I'm serious.

I saw a lot of acid wash jeans.....

actually...

i saw a lot of things...

but i won't go there....

cuz this is a family blog...

and i want to keep it a happy place.

Anyways.....

hello there....i'm back....but one of the reasons i went

was to see this guy:

As of right now i am in serious withdrawal.

i'm hurting bad.....

like a junkie....

my ovaries kicked in to high gear over the weekend while

visiting my new nephew.

Preston.

I clearly remember my whole family standing around..

ooohing...

and

aaahing...

over the baby.....

and as i am holding this sweet baby..

i turn around to bryan...

and say...

it's time...i'll meet you in the bedroom in five.

At that point he disappeared.

gone.

i haven't seen him since.

I have a small feeling he's not on board with me

to have another baby.

oh well.
a girl can still dream right...
and i have her name all picked out just in case.

Anyhoo...this little guy was what i needed over the weekend....

i could have eaten him up..

actually...

i did...

but my sister in law had to stop me...

she practically had to grab Preston from me...

but all is good now.

I got my baby fix.
{now i'm just going to go and see if i can find that hiding husband of mine...}

Love the picture of you and all those precious images of Preston.
Just sweetness to the full in a post...and funny too.
Like I would expect anything less.

Hoping you are happy and life is going well for you.

what a precious little guy. i would have been hogging him all weekend too. i love babies - as long as they aren't mine. way past that point.

Bonjour,
Preston is adorable, what is it about babies that makes us go all sappy? Looks like you had a great time with your family and in your fabulous jeans too.
Have a good one!

The little one is precious! And you had me cracking up with your "see you in 5 minutes in the bedroom" remark. You know that kind of pressure takes a toll on a person...performing on command is not always possible. LOL

This sort of thing happens to just about every one of us. When we see a new baby so new to the world it makes us wish for another one. My 2nd baby is now 7 years old and I still haven't gotten my sleep rhythm back on track...one little detail to think about. :)

Have a great day!

Congratulations Auntie - He's a beauty! I know what you mean, I have baby itch lately in a bad way - it's not good!

mimi charmante said...

You know, while I adore them, I am FINALLY at that stage where I don't wish for more. This is a very. good. thing. because I worried that I would never get here and before I knew it, would have 8 kids...
Glad your back - time to get planning again!

Glad you enjoyed your mini-getaway. Very adorable baby you got to snuggle with. :)

I think the snowboarders were intimidated by that awesome jacket. They knew if you wear jackets like that you will tear up the slopes. :)

Happy Tuesday!

Can we say torture?!?! I'm ACHING now and I just had another not long ago! lol My husband would disappear too. Four is our limit, I think. Unless, of course, I find another husband. But I think I'll keep the one I have. :)

"Meet me in the bedroom in five!"

You CRACK me up Kasey. Hilarious. Love that Lola has a "date night" with Dad too... how sweet. And bowling, seriously... Midwest thing for sure. We never do it out here but ALL of the TIME back in Illinois!

Those ovaries are cruel... I was over it once too...now waiting for "the first" grandbaby, and they are back! 51 days and counting!

You look SO cute!! Want to trade legs!? Look at those skinny thighs, girl!! Jealous :)
HAHAHA to ovaries kicking in!! What IS it about a baby that DOES that?! Preston is Perfection!!!

FiftyCentLove said...

I like seeing my niece and nephew, but it doesn't make my ovaries kick into gear, it does the exact opposite! Love em and give em back. :)

Oh my goodness, Preston is a cutie! And I get it completely...the withdrawals...my youngest "baby" is 10 now. The DH says "not a chance..."! Guess I'll have to wait and get my "fix" when my grandbabies come along:) So glad you got a chance to hold that lil' guy!

Oh, I loved this post! And yes, I know that feeling (the ovaries kicking in), nothing like a baby to have that feeling! Poor hub..gone into hiding..so funny! Very cute baby..I can just feel that soft skin and smell that sweet baby lotion! So, where did you go skiing? You need to come to Utah..greatest snow on earth you know. We have spent many weekends skiing with all kids..the best times ever! Come say hi :D
