Cherished moments...

Do not laugh!

This is how us lazy folks rake our leaves.....actually....we hand the children the rakes....and Bryan grabs the leaf blower....

It got done in record time though.....and here is a play by play of some sweet moments the kids had.

Moments in time.

We all need a few of these.

xo
{oh...and btw...i think i broke my scale this morning....i am totally serious...}

Love the pictures! I showed Luke and he said, "That's what they're made for." He likes the kind that sucks them up and shreds them. I guess we're "lazy folks" too.

So cute! Please send em all over to my yard soon! Actually, I could seriously use one of those electric(?) leaf blowers... what kind do you have? it looks easy to use.

"Cherished moments" is THE perfect term for these pics!!! What kid doesn't dream of taking a running leap into a huge pile of leave??? :)

Hey... you told me I had to watch out for leaf worms! How did the kids fare? ;)

Great, great post! Good times!

I think few things call to a child the way a pile of leaves does.

How fun. I remember those moments with my kids when they were small.
We have pics too. They are cherished now. I love the two following quotes...and take them to heart, now that my four "kids" are 16 to 22 years old, and starting to leave the nest.

"Remember the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the Big Things."

"We do not remember days, we remember MOMENTS..."

Love to visit your blog and see your photos. :-)

Great pics Kasey...we don't have enough leaves to rake here. Guess my kids are missing out ;) We just collect acorns from the oak trees. Looks like loads of fun!

yep, that's how we rake and sweep....the garage and shop, not the house...but maybe i need to adapt that approach.

Now that's the right way to enjoy some leaves! Ours were all wet and slippery and gross and I actually shoveled them into bags -- ick!

As Rick was raking our leaves yesterday, the sound of a leaf blower could be heard over on the next street and I said "honey, do you hear that? that, my dear is the sound of a man whose wife adores him and bought him a leaf blower"...ha ha ha...I really do adore my Rick....anyways the kids are too cute as always...what fun jumping in the leaves!!

Cheryl @ a pretty cool life. said...

I could use a leaf blower...we don't even have any trees but our lawn is still covered in them. I'd like to blow them back on our neighbors' lawns. Just kidding...sorta.

PS~Erin said...

awesome!

I was just noticing that the lawn service from across the street blows their leaves into our yard... I'm thinking that gives us a bye on both raking and blowing!

Might be worth it though for these priceless pics.
